1. Download the ATIRGEME.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the ATIRGEME.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Welcome to the ATI 'Shipped Driver' Install Utility. Generated by Sony Electronics Inc." screen, click Next. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically. The ATI Windows ME Driver Setup will launch.
   NOTE: If a "Confirm File Deletion" box appears, you have already installed this update. Click OK to remove the existing installation files and then repeat steps 4-9 to reinstall the update.
4. At the "Welcome" box, click Next.
5. At the "Software License Agreement" box, click Yes. Please wait as the driver files are installed.
6. At the "Setup Complete" box, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click Finish. As the computer restarts, the video hardware will be redetected and the drivers will be installed.
   NOTE: The installation of the video drivers may reconfigure the video settings. To change the video settings back to the preferred settings, please follow the steps under the Changing the Resolution section below.

The installation of the ATI Rage Mobility-M1 AGP Display Driver is complete.

Changing the Resolution

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and point to Control Panel.
2. From the "Control Panel" menu, click Display.
3. At the "Display Properties" box, click the Settings tab.
4. In the "Settings" tab, under the "Screen area" section, adjust the slider to your preferred resolution.
5. In the "Colors" section, click the down-arrow and select your preferred color depth.
6. Click the Apply button.
   NOTE: If a "Display Properties" message box appears stating that the Desktop will be resized, follow these steps. Otherwise, skip to step G.
   1. At the "Display Properties" message box, click OK to resize the Desktop. The screen may flicker or turn black briefly as the resolution is resized.
   2. At the "Monitor settings" confirmation box, click Yes to accept the new resolution.
      NOTE:  If you do not click Yes within 15 seconds, the resolution will revert to the previous settings.
   NOTE: If a "Compatibility Warning" message box appears, verify that "Apply the new color settings without restarting?" is selected and click OK. Otherwise, continue with step G.
7. Click OK to close the "Display Properties" box.
8. Click the X in the top-right corner to close the "Control Panel" window.

Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to install the YAMAHA DS-XG PCI Audio driver again, you will need to first remove the ATIRGEME.EXE installation files. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Go to the directory where the ATIRGEME.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
2. At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click OK to remove all of the components.
3. If a "ReadOnly File Detected" message box appears, click the box next to "Don't display this message again" to check it and then click Yes. Please wait as the installation files are removed.
4. At the "Maintenance Complete" screen, click Finish.

The uninstallation is complete. You may now redownload and reinstall the ATIRGEME.EXE file.

This utility installs the ATI Rage Mobility-M1 AGP Display driver.

• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
