1. Download the AWA004MDLE.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the AWA004MDLE.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "AwardBIOS™ Update Utility - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
4. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, insert the SONY System Recovery CD #1 into the DVD-ROM or CD/RW drive, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" (if it isn't already selected) and click Finish. After system restarts from the SONY System Recovery CD #1, the BIOS will be updated automatically.
5. At the "A:>", eject and remove the SONY System Recovery CD #1 from the DVD-ROM or CD/RW drive.
6. Restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the AwardBIOS™ is complete.

• Please have the SONY System Recovery CD #1 available before installing this BIOS update.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
