Download & Install Guide:
- Download the DVDF113.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
- Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click DVDF113.EXE to begin the installation.
- At the "DVDF113 - Welcome" box, click Continue.
- At the "DVD Firmware Upgrade Utility" screen, click Next.
- At the "Copying Files" screen, insert a formatted bootable floppy disk in the disk drive (A:) and then click Next. Please wait as the files are copied to the floppy disk.
- At the "Setup Complete" screen, verify that "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" is selected.
- Leave the floppy disk in the drive and click Finish to restart the computer. The computer will boot from the floppy disk and run the firmware update utility. Please wait as the update process will take approximately two minutes. Once the update process is complete, the computer will display a command prompt (A:).
- Please eject the update disk from the floppy disk drive.
- Press the CTRL+ALT+DELETE keys simultaneously to restart the computer.
After the comptuer restarts, installation of the DVDROM Drive Firmware Update is complete.

Important Note:
- After upgrading the firmware on your DVDROM drive, you will not able to restore the earlier version of firmware.
- To install this upgrade, you will need to create a bootable floppy disk to receive the firmware update files. To prepare a floppy disk for use with this update, please refer to the Create A Bootable Floppy Disk procedure.
- The DVDF113.EXE file will only create the firmware upgrade disk when it is run in Windows 98 Second Edition (SE). This file will not run correctly under the Windows 2000 operating system. If Windows 2000 has been installed, the computer will need to be booted into Windows 98 SE to install this update.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
