1. Download the ENET413A.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the ENET413A.EXE file to begin the installation.
4. At the "Intel DOS Ethernet Driver - InstallShield Wizard" box, click "Next".
   NOTE: Several setup boxes will appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE: If a "Welcome" screen appears, you have already installed this update. Click "OK" to remove the existing installation files and then repeat this procedure, starting with step 4, to reinstall the update.
5. At the "Intel DOS Ethernet Driver Utility" screen, click "Next".
6. At the "Copying Files" screen, insert the DOS network-bootable floppy disk in disk drive (A:), and then click "Next".
   NOTE: Please wait as the files are copied to the floppy disk.
7. At the "Finished Copying Files" screen, click "Finish".

The Intel® DOS NDIS 2 Ethernet driver has been copied to the diskette.

Sony does not provide device drivers for, or support the operation of, the built-in Intel® 8255x-based PCI Ethernet Adapter (10/100) in the DOS environment. This utility only extracts the Intel DOS NDIS 2 driver file (E100B.DOS) to a DOS network-bootable floppy disk. Please contact your MIS Administrator or the Network Operating System manufacturer for assistance obtaining any additional driver or support files.
• Before running this utility, you will need to create a DOS network-bootable floppy disk to receive the E100B.DOS file. To create and configure a DOS network-bootable floppy disk for use with this update, please refer to your MIS Administrator or the Network Operating System manufacturer.
• Before running this utility, the USB floppy disk drive must be connected to the notebook.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with this utility, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
