1. Download the MDM212X2.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MDM212X2.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Conexant HCF Modem Driver Utility - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE: If a "Confirm File Deletion" box appears, you have already installed this update. Click OK to remove the existing installation files and then repeat steps 4-9 to reinstall the update.
4. At the "Digital Signature Not Found" box, click Yes.
5. At the "Windows File Protection" box, click Cancel.
6. At the second "Windows File Protection" box, click Yes to keep the newer files.
   NOTE: If a "Files Needed" box appears, in the "Copy files from:" field, type C:WinntDriver CacheI386 then click OK.
7. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click Finish.

After the computer restarts, the Conexant HCF PCI Modem Driver installation is complete.

Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to reinstall the Conexant HCF PCI Modem Driver, you will need to first remove the MDM212X2.EXE installation files. To do so, please follow these steps:

1. Go to the directory where the MDM212X2.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
2. At the "Conexant HCF Modem Driver Utility - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next.
3. At the "Confirm File Deletion" window, click OK to remove all of its components. Please wait as the installation files are removed.

The uninstallation process is complete. You may redownload and reinstall the MDM212X2.EXE file.
