1. Download the MT-SC1040802CX04US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double click the MT-SC1040802CX04US.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Matshita UJ-810B DVD-RW Drive Firmware Update Utility" box, click "Next".
4. At the "License Agreement" dialog box, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree".
5. At the "F/W Loader Firmware Upgrade Utility, After [OK], the tray of upgraded drive will be ejected." screen, click "OK". to eject the drive tray.
6. At the "F/W Loader Firmware Upgrade Utility, To start firmware upgrade, click [OK]" screen, click "OK" start firmware upgrade.
   WARNING!!: Do not interrupt the update process, as it may damage the drive.
7. At the "F/W Loader Firmware Upgrade Utility, Successfully completed" screen, click "EXIT".
8. At Windows Taskbar, click start button, and click Turn Off Computer.
9. At the "Turn Off computer" box, click the "Turn off" button. Wait for few seconds, then Power On the computer.

After computer is restarts, the Matshita UJ-810B DVD-RW drive firmware is complete.

This utility updates the Matshita® UJ-810B DVD-RW drive firmware to improve drive performance when reading CD/DVD media.

• WARNING: This update is specifically for the Matshita UJ-810B DVD-RW drives. Do not run this update if you do not have this drive in the computer.
• BEFORE installing this update, it is necessary to identify the DVD/CD Drive installed in the computer, which will determine whether or not this update is required.
  1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
  2. At the "Control panel" window, click the System icon.
  3. At the "System properties" box, click the Hardware tab and then click the Device Manager button.
  4. At the "Device Manager" window, click the (+) sign next to DVD/CD-ROM drives category to expand the menu.
  5. One of the devices listed should be "MATSHITA UJ-810".
     • If it is, please continue with this update.
     • If it is not, Do Not continue with the steps below because this update is not for your system.
• Please eject any CDs or DVDs that may be in the DVD-RW drive before you run this update.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
