1. Download the NM6F601.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the NM6F601.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "NeoMagic MagicMedia256XL+ Display Adapter Driver Utility - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Continue. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE: If a "Confirm File Deletion" box appears, you have already installed this update. Click OK to remove the existing installation files and then repeat steps 4-7 to reinstall the update.
4. At the "Digital Signature Not Found" screen, click Yes.
5. At the "Setup Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click Finish. As the computer restarts, the video hardware will be redetected and the updated drivers will be installed.

The NeoMagic MagicMedia256XL+ Display Adapter Driver installation is complete.

Changing the Resolution

The installation of the updated drivers may reconfigure the video settings. To change the video settings back to the preferred settings, please follow the steps below.

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
2. At the "Control Panel" window, double-click the Display icon.
3. At the "Display Properties" box, click the Settings tab.
4. In the "Settings" tab, in the "Screen area" section, adjust the slider to your preferred resolution.
5. In the "Colors" section, click the down-arrow and select your preferred color depth.
6. Click the Apply button.
7. At the "Display Properties" message box, click OK to resize the Desktop. The screen may flicker or turn black briefly as the resolution is resized.
8. At the "Monitor settings" confirmation box, click Yes to accept the new resolution.
   NOTE: If you do not click Yes within 15 seconds, the resolution will revert to the previous settings.
9. Click OK to close the "Display Properties" box.
10. Click the X in the top-right corner to close the "Control Panel" window.

Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to reinstall the NeoMagic MagicMedia256XL+ Display Adapter Driver, you will need to first remove the NM6F601.EXE installation files. To do so, please follow these steps:

1. Go to the directory where the NM6F601.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
2. At the "NeoMagic MagicMedia256XL+ Display Adapter Driver Utility - Welcome" box, click Continue. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
3. At the "Confirm File Deletion" window, click OK to remove all of its components. Please wait as the installation files are removed.

The uninstallation process is complete. You may redownload and reinstall the NM6F601.EXE file.
