1. Download the PLUGIN2.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).

2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the PLUGIN2.EXE file to begin the installation.

3. At the "Sony DVgate Plug-in - Welcome" box, click Continue.

   Several setup boxes will appear as the setup files are installed. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically. After the setup files are installed, the DVgate Plug-in for Adobe(R) Premiere(R) Setup will launch.

4. At the "Welcome" box, click Next to continue.

   Several additional setup boxes will appear as the plug-in files are installed. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.

5. At the "Setup Complete" box, click Finish.

The installation of the Sony DVgate Plug-in Update is complete.

If it is necessary to reinstall the Sony DVgate Plug-in Update, you will need to first remove the PLUGIN2.EXE installation files. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Go to the directory where the PLUGIN2.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
2. At the "Sony DVgate Plug-in - Welcome" box, click Continue. Several setup boxes will appear as the setup files are installed. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
3. At the "Confirm File Deletion" window, click OK to remove all of its components. Please wait as the installation files are removed.
4. At the "Maintenance Complete" screen, click Finish.

The uninstallation is complete. You may now redownload and reinstall the PLUGIN2.EXE file.

This utility installs the Sony DVgate Plug-in update utility and provides the following enhancements:

• CODECs and project settings for Adobe Premiere 5.1:
  • DVgate Plugin - NTSC
  • DVgate Plugin - PAL
  • Sony DV Software CODEC - NTSC
  • Sony DV Software CODEC - PAL
• Installs the DVgate Record plugin for Adobe® Premiere 5.1, which adds video capture functionality for i.LINK-compatible camcorders.

• Before installing this update, be sure to have Adobe Premiere 5.1 installed on the computer.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
