1. Download the SO-Q11000801KQ03US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SO-Q11000801KQ03US.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Sony® Giga Pocket 5.5 Update Utility for Microsoft® Windows® XP" box, click "Next".
4. At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click "OK".
5. At the "InstallShield Wizard" box, click "Finish".
6. Repeat Steps 4 - 5 when prompted.
7. At the "Finished" dialog, click "Finish".
8. At the "Your system will now reboot" message box, click "OK" to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony® Giga Pocket® 5.5 software Update Utility is complete.

This utility will update Giga Pocket® 5.5 Software to resolve the following issues:

• Unable to set up Timer Recording through the iEPG website.
• Video Capsule is sometimes corrupted when clicking Cancel button while Video Capsules are being moved.
• Giga Pocket® Server cannot be used after resuming the system from Stand by mode.
• Giga Pocket® software hangs when the Remote Commander is used to close Giga Pocket® software in full screen mode.
• Timer Recordings sometimes cannot be set even though Timer Recording is valid.
• An error message appears when a Video Capsule that is currently in the Playback Deck is moved.

This utility also installs an updated Sony® MPEG Realtime Encoder Board Driver, version 1.1.3.10031, which resolves the following issues:

• Some Video Capsules may not be compatible with CLIÉ® Converter application.
• Noise is heard when changing the Input from Video Input to TV Input.

• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process. Also, please ensure that the CLIE™ Converter application is closed in the System Tray.
