1. Download the SO-Q31400C03EV.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SO-Q31400C03EV.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Setup for VAIO Edit Components 2.1.01LE" box, click "Next".
4. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" box, click "Finish".

Installation of the VAIO® Edit Components LE Plug-in is now complete.

This program will add the Real-time Preview function for Premiere 6.5 and resolves the following issues for the VAIO Edit Components version 1.0.01.03130 or earlier:

• Images played back on the desktop stop once every second.
• CPU utilization increases to 100% when a project using VAIO Edit Components is opened and the color depth of the display is set to 16-bit color.
• After cutting the front of a DV-AVI clip on the Timeline using the Ripple Edit tool, the clip still plays from the beginning.
• When many DV-AVI clips are added to the Timeline, it takes a long time for the clips to start to play.

• The previous versions of VAIO® Edit Components and DVgate™ plug-in must be uninstalled before installing this update. Please follow the instructions below to uninstall these software components.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
