1. Download the SO-Q60400803FK04US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SO-Q60400803FK04US.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Welcome" box, click "Next".

• It is necessary to have the Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition and Professional Operating System Service Pack 1 Update installed.
• The previous versions of VAIO® Edit Components and DVgate™ plug-in must be uninstalled before installing this update. If your computer has either VAIO Edit Components or DVgate™ plug-in, please follow the instructions below to uninstall these software components.
• This version of VAIO Edit Components is only compatible with Adobe® Premiere® Pro. If you have an older version of Adobe Premiere installed along with Adobe Premiere Pro, you will need to use Adobe Premiere Pro when working with VAIO Edit Components.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
