NOTE: This program will create a shortcut for a "Repair Click to DVD Project File" program in the DVgate Plus program menu. - At the "Install" box, click OK to restart the computer.
After computer restarts, the installation of the Sony® DVgate™ update utility is complete.
NOTE: If you need to uninstall the Dvgate Plus application, you must first delete the RepairCtdFile short cut from the program menu. Follow these steps to delete the RepairCtFile short cut:
- Click the Windows Start menu and then click All Programs.
- Click DVgate Plus and then right-click on RepairCtdFile.
- From the dropdown menu, click Delete.
- At the "Confirm Shortcut Delete" box, click Delete Shortcut.
The shortcut for the "Repair DVD Project File" program is now deleted from the Program Menu and the DVgate Plus application can be uninstalled.

General:
- Re-launching DVgate Plus application occasionally fails.
Capture Mode:
- Scene list is unuseable after scanning certain types of DV tapes.
- DVgate Plus exits after connecting a MICROMV™ device.
- DVgate Plus stops responding after changing from Auto Capture Mode to Manual or Batch Capture Mode.
- Keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+A" does not work in MICROMV™ Batch Capture Mode.
- Audio on a tape becomes distorted after using Still Capture many times.
- The forward and backward buttons in Still Capture may stop responding if they are clicked repeatedly.
- The frame captured in Still Capture Mode may not match the frame that was displayed during the capture operation.
Output Mode:
- The Play Control Button (Play, Pause, Stop) does not work in the Edit Movie Clips window after dividing a movie clip.
- The clip displayed in the Edit Movie Clips window may not match what is actually captured or recorded.
- Sound is distorted when playing back a Video Capsule in the Edit Movie Clips and Preview windows.
- Fit to Screen (keep aspect ratio) setting in Edit Still Image Clip is not kept in the movie file output.
- A Clip List with a duration longer than 120 minutes cannot be output to a Click To DVD project file.
- Output to DV Device fails if the DV device is not stopped before the output begins.
- Temporary files are not deleted after previewing or outputting a still image.
- Recorded image is brighter than the original when outputting a still image to a DV-AVI file using the "Fit to Screen" setting.
- Outputting to Video Capsule format may occasionally stop if the clip contains Video Capsules.
- DVgate Plus stops responding while importing a Video Capsule file.
Click To DVD™ Application:
- Click to DVD exits with an error message while playing back a project file created by the DVgate Plus.
Important Note:
- If a Click to DVD™ project file that was created with the DVgate™ Plus application exits with an error message during playback, follow the steps below to repair the file after this update is installed.
- Click Start and then click All Programs.
- Click Dvgate Plus and then click RepairCtdFile.
- At the "Repair Click to DVD Project File" box, click Select file.
- At the "Explore" box, browse and open the CTD file that needs to be repaired.
- At the "Selected Click to DVD project file will be repaired" box, click OK.
- At the "Completed repairing the Click to DVD project file" box, click OK.
- During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
