1. Download the SO-Z71600803KU.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SO-Z71600803KU.EXE file to begin the installation. Please wait for this utility to check the computer model and extract the installation files.
3. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for VAIO Media Update Program" screen, click Next.
4. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, verify "Yes, I want restart my computer now" is checked, and Finish.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the SONY® VAIO Media™ / VAIO Media™ Platform Update Utility is complete.

• Unable to access the VAIO Media™ application on a server that is connected to the network via a router.
• VAIO Media™ Music may stop responding when trying to playback a WAV or MP3 song which was deleted but had been registered in the SonicStage™ application.
• VAIO Media™ Music may stop responding when opening a playlist that cannot playback.
• VAIO Media™ Video stops functioning when an MPEG2 video capsule is selected without an MPEG2 decoder. The VAIO Media™ application then needs to close and restart.
• While using VAIO Media™ Photo, a VC.exe error appears when trying to access a photo folder that contains a single sub folder and single photo.
• When using VAIO Media™ Video or Media Photo to run video continuously in a loop, a VC.exe error may appear.
• VAIO Media™ Application Server stops responding after being accessed for long period of time.
• An error message appears when VAIO Media™ Server is unable to respond within the timeout period.
• Picture Gear Studio™ application fails to export photo(s) to the VAIO Media™ Photo Server.

• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
