1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
2. Download the SOACTD-00443103-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOACTD-00443103-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
4. At the "Sony® Click to DVD Update for Microsoft® Windows® XP" screen, click "Next".
5. At the "Setup Complete" screen, click "Finish".

The installation of the Sony® Click to DVD™ Software Update is complete.

This utility upgrades the Click to DVD® version 1.3 software to version 1.4.01.15300 and adds support for the new MICROMV® Camcorder which has "Direct Access to Click to DVD function" and resolves the following issues:

• Failure to convert files when using the Fit-To-Disc function.
• Failure to start when other movie editing applications are installed.
• It takes a long time to create motion menus.
• Previous Click to DVD 1.4.01 upgrade would not install if the computer had been upgraded from Microsoft® Windows Media® Player 8 to Windows Media Player 10.

• This update requires Microsoft® DirectX® software version 9 or higher. If the version of DirectX software installed on your computer is not version 9 or higher, the utility will prompt you to install DirectX software version 9 or higher, and then will exit.
  NOTE: Visit http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx to download the latest version of DirectX software.
• This update requires Microsoft Windows Media Player version 9 or higher. Please follow the steps below to verify the installed version of Windows Media Player:
  1. Start Windows Media Player
  2. On the Menu Bar, click "Help", and then click "About Windows Media Player".
     NOTE: The version number is shown on the "About Windows Media Player" screen.
  3. Click "OK" to close the "About Windows Media Player" screen.
     NOTE: If you need to update the installed version of Windows Media Player, click "Check For Player Updates..." on the "Help" menu, and follow the onscreen instructions.
• During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
