1. Download the SOADVP-00863900-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOADVP-00863900-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Sony® DVgate Plus Update Utility for Microsoft® Windows® XP" screen, click "Next".
4. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
5. At the "Finished" screen, click "Finish".
6. At the "Install" screen, click "OK" to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony® DVgate Plus™ Update is complete.

This utility updates the Sony® DVgate Plus™ software to version 2.0.00.11010 and provides the following benefits:

• Resolves an issue where Click to DVD™ software cannot read files created in DVgate Plus File Output with filenames that include the "&" character.
• Adds support for HDV camcorders and files.

• During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
