1. Download the SOU221XDB1.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOU221XDB1.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "SONY® MPEG2 Encoder Board Driver - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. The update will close the "Timer Recording Manager" automatically before proceeding to the installation.
   Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE:  If an "Information" box appears prompting you to reboot to verify the system model, click OK. After the computer restarts, please continue with step 5 above.
4. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, click Finish to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the SONY® MPEG2 Encoder Board Driver is complete.

This utility will resolve the "green display" issue which may occur while connecting a display unit through TV out.

• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
