Important Note:

• This utility is only for use with Sony® VAIO® computer systems which have the nVIDIA GeForce2 MX Video Adapter with 16 MB of SDRAM video memory installed.
• There is a related issue where the display is blank when an SXGA digital display is connected to the computer through the DVI connector with the Microsoft® Windows® Me Operating System. To resolve this issue you must also download and install an updated nVidia GeForce2 MX Graphics Controller Driver.
• Before installing this update, you will need to prepare a a 3½ bootable floppy disk to receive the Video BIOS update files. To prepare a floppy disk for use with this update, please refer to the Create A Bootable Floppy Disk procedure.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
