Important Note:
- After upgrading the firmware on your CD-RW drive, you will not able to restore the earlier version of firmware.
- To install this upgrade, you will need to create a bootable floppy disk to receive the firmware update files. To prepare a floppy disk for use with this update, please refer to the Create A Bootable Floppy Disk procedure.
- The CDRWF1P.EXE file will only create the firmware upgrade disk when it is run in Windows 98 Second Edition (SE). This file will not run correctly under the Windows 2000 operating system. If Windows 2000 has been installed, the computer will need to be booted into Windows 98 SE to install this update.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
